We buy sealed Japanese Pokemon, ONE PIECE and other Japanese TCG product direct from wholesalers and exporters in Japan, pay in advance and handle UK customs ourselves. Who we are
Packrat is the trading name of LEONIVEYGAMES LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15171101) and VAT-registered in the UK. Since 2023 we have sold sealed trading card game product online to collectors, and we supply trade accounts for card shops and online sellers in the UK, Europe, Asia and the US.
Japanese editions are a core part of our range. We already import Japanese booster boxes direct from Japan, so we know the paperwork, the timings and what sells in the UK. We are now looking for more Japanese suppliers who can offer regular stock.
What we buy
Sealed, Japanese-language product, bought for resale in our UK shop and to our trade customers:

- Other Japanese TCGs: Dragon Ball Super Card Game Fusion World, UNION ARENA, Gundam Card Game, Digimon Card Game, Weiss Schwarz and Cardfight!! Vanguard
- Pre-order allocations for new Japanese releases
Everything must be authentic and factory sealed, and every shipment needs a commercial invoice. Through this route we do not buy English-language product, single cards or accessories.
Our terms
We pay in advance
We pay in full by Wise or bank transfer, in JPY or USD, before you ship. You do not need to offer us credit terms.
You ship DAP, we handle UK customs
Ship by FedEx, UPS or DHL on DAP terms. We are the importer of record: we hold a UK EORI number and pay the UK import VAT and any duty through postponed VAT accounting, so nothing is charged to you.
Regular, repeat orders
We want ongoing supply, not one-off purchases. Tell us your minimum order and how often new stock arrives, and we will plan our orders around it.

Email your current list (Excel or PDF), with prices in JPY or USD.

We confirm and pay
We reply with the items and quantities we want, then pay in full by Wise or bank transfer.

You ship DAP
Ship by FedEx, UPS or DHL with a commercial invoice and send us the tracking number.

We clear customs and reorder
We clear the shipment in the UK as importer, and as the stock sells we come back for more.
Shipping to the UK: what your invoice needs
Trading cards are classified in the UK under commodity code 9504.40. The standard UK import duty is 2%, but goods of Japanese origin qualify for 0% under the UK-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement when the commercial invoice carries a statement on origin.
UK import VAT of 20% applies to commercial imports. As importer of record we account for it ourselves through postponed VAT accounting, so you never pay UK VAT or duty on our orders.
Please show on the commercial invoice:
- Seller and buyer: your company details and ours (LEONIVEYGAMES LTD, EORI GB458073378000)
- Each product with quantity, unit price and total, in JPY or USD
- Commodity code 9504.40 and country of origin: Japan
- A statement on origin under the UK-Japan agreement, so the 0% duty rate applies
- Incoterms: DAP
