Simplified Chinese Pokemon is the official mainland China release of the Pokemon TCG, not a bootleg or proxy. Its print runs are smaller than Japanese and, until recently, distribution outside China was limited, so several promos are exclusive to Chinese releases and graded populations stay low. That scarcity is the main draw: early Simplified Chinese promos are often harder to find than the same card in English or Japanese.
